Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California
Can my mail carrier refuse to deliver mail to my house because they are afraid of my dogs? I've already had the postmaster out to check and approve my security door then the mail carrier complained that my windows are opened so we agreed to only open it half way (too small for my dog to fit out) and they promised that they would deliver my mail. They didn't deliver so I called and complained. The postmaster was in a meeting so the lady I spoke to said different carriers might not deliver the mail. She forwarded me to the consumer affairs and the woman I spoke to agreed with me. She said she's investigate. The Postmaster just deliver a notice that said I had to move my mail box to the curb and complained that he got in trouble for trying to work with us. What are my rights? Is this harassment?
