Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

Recorded phone calls

I have just found out that my in-laws have been recording all of our conversations. We have a very strained relationship, and today during an arguement on the phone they announced that all conversations we have ever had have been recorded. My husband called and spoke with them and they told him they had been recording our conversations. I am wondering if there is any legal recourse I have against them. I was not aware of these recording, they told me at the end of the converstations that they had recorded them. I have asked why they recored them and they refuse to tell myself or my husband I live in California, any help would be appreciated. And if there is recourse legally please tell me how I could go about it. Thank you.

Re: Recorded phone calls

It is a misdemeanor in California to record another person's voice without their approval. Call if you wish to discuss.
