Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

This weekend I was arrested for telling my cousin to run after being subdued by police officers after a fight. They put him face down on the ground with no handcuffs on and when they were several feet away I said "run man". He tried to run and they tackled him and then arrested me for obstruction. Do they have a strong case? What is the best way to get this charge dismissed?

You clearly tried to obstruct the arrest. How do they not have a strong case against you? You may have to plead guilty to a lesser charge. Contact a local criminal law attorney to find out what they can do.

The best way of getting dismissal was not to commit the crime in the first place. You now get to defend the criminal charges against you with whatever admissible evidence and witness statements you have. I suggest you hire an experienced criminal defense attorney if you don't want to experience the food and accommodations in your local jail.
