Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Contract Question

I went to a trade school and got a student loan. The school made a mistake in the loan paperwork and did not include fees that the loan company offers. The school ended up being short about $300, due to a miscalculation of disbursements. The school way over charged me and I wanted to know if it was their mistake, do I still have to pay it?

Re: Contract Question

Let's turn it around for a minute ... if they had made a mistake where they owed you money, don't you think you would have the right to get the money back?

A student loan needs to be repaid, eventually. If the cost of the course is a certain amount, which you agreed to, and by a mistake they did not bill that to the loan company, you are still responsible.
