If you've already been sentenced, no. An option now is to seek expungement. Many convictions can be 'expunged' by proper application and Motion to the court, but only if there was no prison time served or even sentenced, if it was not for certain sex and DV crimes, if you completed all terms of probation, and if you have no new charges. The record would then show the conviction was retroactively withdrawn and the charges dismissed. If expunged, you would be able to say 'no' to conviction on most employment applications. I agree with the other attorney. You can attempt to teminate probation early and expunge the conviction. But you cannot get the charge reduced to a misdemeanor, as there is no such charge as misdemeanor attempted robbery.
