Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

i was charged with a misdemeanor possession of a switchblade inside vehicle in a public place. I plead not guilty but want to change my plea to guilty, is that possible to change my plea on my next court date.?

Yes, but I suggest you make sure you understand the possible consequences of conviction. Do you have any prior convictions on your record that would affect your sentencing on a new charge? Either hire, or at least consult with, an attorney before doing so. He, or you, should discuss the case with the DA at your 'PreTrial' hearing, which is your next hearing, to see if you can negotiate a reasonable plea bargain with the DA, rather than just throw yourself on the mercy/whim of the judge to sentence you if you merely plead guilty.
