Felony dropped to misdemeaner

How do I have this done? Its been 13 years. I need to get bonded for a job. The crime was grand theft. I was 22 years old. My life has changed completly.

You must file a petition with the court for expungement and retroactive dismissal of the charges. You are not eligible if any prison time was sentenced or served. Expungement allows you to say 'no' to conviction on most private employment applications, but you must disclose the actual record and expungement on things like security clearances, bonding, govt jobs, etc., because it is still on your record and they will see it when checking. Lying on the application will lose you any chance at the job. It is up to the bonding company whether to approve you with the expungement.
