Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was wondering what restrictions are placed on ex-felons in the state of California, specifically Sacramento. The charge is Check Fraud under $1000.

Your question is pretty broad. If you have been convicted of a felony, and are not on probation or parole, the law doesn't place many restrictions on you except that you cannot possess firearms.

If you had been convicted of a sex or drug offense, you might have to register with local law enforcement, but that wouldn't be the case for a bad check conviction.

You may also be eligible to have your conviction reduced to a misdemeanor. A local lawyer should be able to help you at a reasonable cost.
