Legal Question in DUI Law in California

suspension of license

ok I was arrested back in january of 1999. for dui. I took a blood test which they found no alcohol in my system, but did find methamphetimine. I served all my time and also completed a 90 day in house rehab program. my license was suspended to this day. they say i need to still do a drunk driving classes before I can get my license. Why would I if I did not have alcohol in my blood, and completed the rehab program successfully? shouldnt they realease my license to me? please help thank you?

Re: suspension of license

Either do the required program and get your license, or go to court with a proper motion seeking to clarify or amend the court's sentencing order in a way that the DMV will honor. No guarantee that will succeed, but if interested in doing so, contact me to discuss details and costs.
