Legal Question in Elder Law in California
Requirements of notification when applying for conservatorship
My aunt died. My sister went and applied for conservatorship due to my aunts alzheimers. My sister did notify myself or anyone regarding this applications for conservatorship. I was not in the will but my other aunts were. My sister went into my aunts house and took things excluding them from the inventory. My other aunts feel that they should have been notifed of this application. Does that make the court appointed conservatorship invalid.?

Re: Requirements of notification when applying for conservatorship
Invalid, no. It means someone needs to file objections to the conduct and have the court sort out the problems. Anyone in the estate can do so. Contact me if interested in pursuing it.
