Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have 50/50 custody of my kids and live in California. I was born and raised in New Zealand and would like to take my children down there for a visit in December of this year to see my Dad as he's getting older and it's hard for him to come up here, to see my sister as she is having her first baby and she flew up here for the birth of both my kids. My ex won't agree to it and is implying that i won't bring them back. My kids are my life and would never do anything to hurt them nor put them in a position of having to adjust to a different culture. This is there home and always will be!! Even the kids really really want to go to NZ to meet their cousins and extended family. What legal rights do i have?

If your ex will not agree to let you take the kids, you need to file an Order to Show Cause requesting the Court to allow you to travel to New Zealand with the kids. File the OSC as soon as possible as sometimes these things get continued and can take awhile to get an order. Good Luck.
