Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am 22 yrs old and in debt since moving to California 4 years ago I have no family or anyone else to HELP me. I now have 2 kids with my ex boyfriend where I currently live in California where my kids were born. I want to leave state and move back where I have came from Indiana and live with my parents find a job and pay back what I owe in debt but my ex said he will not let me leave with our 2 kids I was wondering if I can leave state with our 2 kids or do we have to go to court he has a record and is currently on probation for 3 years for disarming a firearm in public, but does make the money to support them but could never take care of them on his own what are my chances that I have leaving and getting full custody if it come down to that. If you could help in any way answering my question it would be highly appreciated. Thanks mother of 2

File an Order to Show Cause for a "move away" order. Explain all the reasons to the judge why you want to move. I would recommend an attorney to help you, as I've seen these go down easy, and I've seen them go down hard. My office has successfully handled several of these. Call if you'd like help at least putting together the paperwork.
