When a divorce case has been sent to the judgment shelf for review... how long does it typically take to get a final decision back?

That depends entirely on the court's workload and the work habits of the judge. There is a rule that matters taken under submission must be ruled on in 30 days, but the only penalty is that the presiding judge is supposed to ask the judge on the case why there hasn't been a ruling. Most judges are prompt, but I've had things trail as long as 90 days waiting for a decision.
