Legal Question in Family Law in California

Marriage with fake names...

''If a couple marry (and the woman changed her last name to his), and then later the truth comes out that the man is living a lie, is not actually the person he said he was, using fake ID's with a name that is not his real name....are they truly, legally married under California law? If they bought things as a couple (property, cars, etc.) using these stolen names, do they legally own everything?
