Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

domestic violence-greencard

We have been married for 21 months & have a daughter of 24 mo. My wife & daughter are US citizens, I am on H1 which will expire 01/01/06. In Jan-04 a small fight between me & my wife resulted in domestic violence charges (misdemeanor) against to me; 242/243 (e) (dismissed) & 136.1 (b). Three weeks ago I accepted court offer; 3 yrs formal probation, 52 wk domestic violence program, 20 hrs volunteer community service, 5 days Work Alternative Program (25 days out of 30 suspended) & $500 penalty+fee. Finger prints were taken at the time of interview for WAP. Stay away order was issued during my first court appearence in March-04 but modified immediately per my wife's request as we were living & wanted to live together. I have never been arrested & never spent jail time. What are the chances of getting greencard for me if my wife is to sponser? If there is a chance, approximately how many times we would need an attorney representation to INS?
