Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

I have been married to my wife " Japanese women" for 2 years. She entered the US a 1 1/2 ago under a provisional (?) spouse visa for two years. We have to submit "a form" before her two year provisional period is up. If some reason we seperate or divorce by then can she get a visa or does she have to go back to her country? If she can get a visa, am I responsible for her financially still?

It's not clear from your post whether she has a conditional green card valid for 2 years, OR she entered the USA on a K-3 visa. I understand that since her arrival 1.5 years ago, you haven't filed anything else for her with the USCIS.
