Legal Question in Immigration Law in California
I am working in a non profit school and I already got my PERm through them. When I am about to apply for I-140 the lawyer said that I am not paid according to the prevailing wages for teachers. Because the school is a non profit they gave me that salary and they showed no profit in their tax return. How will this affect my application for I-140 and what will I do to solve this problem?

This should not affect your I-140 application. Your employer needs to submit a letter stating the salary you will be paid once you obtain your permanent residence in the U.S., which must be at least the prevailing wage or higher. It is also important to show that they are able to pay the prevailing wage.
