Legal Question in Insurance Law in California
accident
My friend had a car accident back in the year 2000. Is there a status of limitation? where they can't do anything anymore?

Re: accident
The statute of limitations can be as short as 6 months or as long as 3 years, depending on the type of case and damage. A car crash from 2000 probably has had all applicable limitations expire.

In most car accident cases, you have 2 years to sue for personal injuries and 3 years to sue for property damage.
