Legal Question in Employment Law in California

i didnt not get paid on time like everyone else, its now 5 days later and i still havent recieved my check. they say its coming but it shouldnt take 5 days. is there any penalties for that.

Yes. You can file a claim with the local Labor Commissioner for unpaid wages, penalties and interest.
