I see no legal claim to pursue, based on what you wrote. An employer has the right to fire an at-will employee for the reason you stated.

You are certainly free to talk to your HR department and management about re-instating you, but I see no reason why they are obligated to do so.

Best of luck to you.

Pursue what??

You just described a firing 'for cause'.

That is over and above the fact that unless an employee is civil service, in a union, or has a written employment contract, they are an 'at will' employee that can be disciplined or terminated any time for any reason, with or without cause, explanation or notice.
