Legal Question in Employment Law in California

wages

My father has been working for my uncle for 30yrs, lately he hasnt been paying my dad his normal wage.He gives my dad about 100 dollars a week and says he will give the rest later.Claims there is no money but goes to Las Vegas and throws parties every other weekend.we will be getting evicted soon and still he doesnt pay my father nor any of the other workers. He pays them cash. Is there any way to report him or get him to pay up anonymously???He also has illegal workers. No benefits, and they work about 9-12 hrs. a day.

Re: wages

Anonymously? No. Go file a wage claim with the Labor Commissioner. Have the others do so too. The employer could be ordered to pay all back pay, OT, penalties, interest and attorney fees. If this is in SoCal, and you get serious about having an attorney help with the hearings, feel free to contact me. If the whole group of employees comes in, you'll have far more credibility and clout.
