Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

suing my landlord

How do I sue my landlord for wrongful or construction eviction, illegal self-help, comversion and destruction of my personal property. I'm pretty sure he's got his assets (real property, etc.) in a living trust. Do I sue him or the trust?
