wrongfully evicted

We have many defenses to the unlawful detainer suit that our landlord has thrown at us, and the judge still granted the eviction, how do we go about appealing it?

Re: wrongfully evicted

You do not say whether it wa in Small Claims Court or Superior Court. You need to file a notice of appeal. Read the Nolo Pres books on Landlord-tenant law to get more details. Judges often let their emotions over rule their minds, but parties often over value the merits of their cases. If you did not pay your rent, the various defenses you might have become largely meaningless.
