can i sue a mechanic that works from home for work done on my vehicle's engine that was not completed as well as pain and sufferring even if i only have pictures of the work that was not done on my vehicle that is still in his possession?

You can't get pain and suffering because of a mechanic's delay in repairing your vehicle. You might be able to sue to seek the value of replacement transportation beyond the time the repair reasonably should have been completed. I would suggest you locate a reputable repair facility and make arrangements to have the vehicle transferred. Then you could discuss with the home-based mechanic compensation for the delay.

If he isn't done then you can't sue him for not fixing your car. If he is taking way too long and you don't think he is going to complete the work then you can. I would give him a deadline or you want the car returned and then you can sue him.

Sorry can't get any pain and suffering in this type of case which is a potential breach of contract. You may however be able to sue him for loss of use during the time he didn't fix the car when in fact he should have had it done according to his promises.
