Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in California

medical malpractice

if a dr of a hmo reffers a patient for a surgical procedure and prior to surgery, no lab work is taken and after surgery complications arise including infection, extensinve blood clotting, absessing, resulting in patient requiring a dangerous medication (Warfarin) a blood thinner, and continuous blood draws up to two or three times wk. and continuous need for narcotic meds and the conditions and meds after surgery were not a part of the patients life prior to a simple outpaitient surgery. patient type is workmans comp claim and even with a life threatening aftermath the surgery, drs not wanting to deal with the problems as part of the original injury requiring the workmans comp and not seeing the endangered patient as a high risk or immed danger level patient instead dr says come to emergency if it gets much more swelling and see you in one month. also it seems the physicians are trying to convince the paitient that the complicaiton are most likely not . sounds like they are trying to cover theyre asses esp no labs prior to surg. patient is not recovering on the up side yet and we fear negligence is also an issue here. what is you advice

Re: medical malpractice

Advise? See a competent doctor/specialist for proper treatment, and for an opinion on whether there was actually negligence/malpractice. Your opinion or mine is meaningless.
