Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

Car accident,

This guy, let's name him A, got his car hit by a motorcycle on his rear end, right tail light, the driver of that motorcylce, name B couldn't get that motorcycle back in control in time to avoid hitting A's car again, this time on the right side of car.

This accident is a month old and the debate of whether B hit A's car from the rear end is still going on. B argues that he only hit the side of the car which costs less to fix then the rear end in which B denies ever hitting A's car from the back.

there are no witnesses or written statement and its A's word against B's.

my question is that if i were to get someone, and i also was wondering if you can tell me who, to analyze the rear end tail light part of A's car, to see if there are any paint on it, that might have rubbed off of B's motorcycle to prove that B did indeed hit A from behind. and if i were to do this, would it hold up in trying to get a claim from the insurance company.
