Legal Question in Personal Injury in California

A TV commercial about men's shaving blades makes a remark about grandpa having had polio. I grew up in the '40s and 50's having to deal with hurtful comments about how paralysis affected my physical condition. It's sad that, almost 70 years later, that I still have to deal with inappropriate comments about this horrible disease. Sure brings back really bad memories. Any legal recourse? I emailed the company about this today.

How is referring to a disease from history an 'inappropriate' or 'hurtful' comment' to a reasonable person? No; you do not have any legal recourse that I can envision unless the commercial showed your picture and/or referred to you by name, which would be a privacy invasion.

I agree with Mr. Nelson. Unless the commercial is about you in particular or was directed at you specifically, it seems very unlikely that you have any legal interest at stake.
