Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I have signed a sublease for a warehouse as a part of larger sublease and have paid by check for our agreement. Now after signing the lease. The subleaser is forcing me to sign for more conditions. What are my leagal rights?

Forcing? How, at gunpoint? Agreements signed under duress are void. Threats can be an assault. All modifications to a contract once it is signed, unless already called for in the original contract, must be voluntary on both sides.

If you already have a complete enforceable agreement, they can't 'force' you to do anything. Threatening not to comply with the deal is not 'force', but a breach of the deal. You could theoretically sue on the existing agreement. Best for you to do is consult with counsel, to review all the documents and facts, and get an actual legal opinion and estimate of what you can do.
