Legal Question in Traffic Law in California
Parking Violation
I received a notice from the City of LA saying I did not pay a parking violation from July of 2001. I think I sold the car that month. In any event, this is the first I have never heard of this violation until now. I pay any violations I have received.
I believe I either paid this or did not own the vehicle at the time. For me to research all this will take my time which is worth plenty to me. How should I respond to this notice?
Thank you...

Re: Parking Violation
If you filed a notice of transfer with the DMV as is prudent, you can send a copy to the parking ticket department requesting that they remove your name from the ticket.
Otherwise your option is to determine whether it costs less to pay the ticket or do the research necessary to have it dismissed. Then follow that course of aciton.
