Trasnfer Speeding ticket

If we live in CA and get a speeding ticket while driving cross-country, can we transfer the ticket to CA?

You get a ticket out in the sticks, you'll have to deal with the local constabulary, and you'll be lucky if they don't also charge you with robbing the Sack'O'Suds.
