Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in California
Hi, my great grandmother died 5 years ago, I was a minor than and am now 22. My grandmother(her executor) will not let me see the will or trust. She recently told me, she gave me 20 grand as said in the will but I responded that she never did. She went quiet and changed the subject.1-Do I have any legal way to get the will or trust. 2-Is there a time limit and have I become ineligible. She died in Pueblo county in Colorado. The trust lawyer who did the trust is in Irvine CA. My Grandfather who I also do not have his will died in Long Beach, CA. Can I obtain these documents and do I have any right to collect after 5 years?

Anyone with an economic interest in the estate or trust is entitled to see it and if the Will was probated y9 cn look at the court file too. Anything left to you in the Will than was not paid to you would be held in a constructive trust for your benefit to be paid to you.
