Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Colorado

I am the manager of my son's hockey team and a few months back one of the parents on the team made a donation of $1000 to be used towards the kids. We agreed that I would buy gift cards for each of them with that money. Just yesterday she found out that her son would be suspended for a week which is basically the end of our season. She called me very upset and said that she is thinking about taking all the money back because she doesn't feel good about it anymore and I told her that I have all the gift cards and she said well I'll just take all of them. When she made the donaton I made and gave her a receipt that she gave this money to the team and that I received it because she wanted to remain anonymous. Can she do this?

No. Once you make a gift, you relinquish control and ownership of the property.
