Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Colorado

False disclosure of property

i bought my home 5 years ago, and was informed that were some minor crackes in the basement walls that were repaired. the problem is the basement floor has cracked so bad that is starting to cause structural damage to the house. i was not in formed that the basement floor was cracked requiring repairs. after removing the carpet it was discovered that repair attempts were done and carpet was put in places where the concrete height was different. this displays that the previous owners were well aware of the extent of the damages and fail to disclose this information prior to cell. i feel that had this information been disclosed it may resulted in my not buying this home. and I have photoes of the before during and will after i do the repair.

Re: False disclosure of property

Did you have an inspection and what did that disclose??? Anything?

Certainly fraud is available if someone knowingly concealed and essentially lied about the true condition of the home. You need to review all closing paperwork and any insurance paperwork for the home. Look for exceptions. Look for requirements of disclosure.
