Legal Question in Traffic Law in Colorado
Uninsured motorist
My 20 year old son was involved in a traffic accident. His insurance was cancelled 2 days prior to accident. He and the other parties insurance worked out a payment plan to have them file under uinsured motorists and he would pay back. The other party is wanting reimbursement for rental car and deductible. He will pay them as soon as income tax refund is received. The other party is wanting us to pay what he owes. They are considering suing him but he lost his job and has no assets. Are we reponsible? Can we file harrasment charges against other person as they have called us several times asking for money?
