Re: buisness
Hello. Sounds like you've got a good idea for a new business. Congratulations on moving towards becoming a small business owner!
Now, in terms of what you need, that depends on a couple of things. Where will you come up with startup costs? If you are planning on financing it, such as with a small business loan, you will need to put together more information about your business, including a business plan, cash flow projects, etc. As small business owner, you should put these together anyway, but you will absolutely need them to get any sort of business loan.
Additionally, you will need the following: business and liability insurance, lease with a landlord, contracts with clients. You should also do a market analysis to make sure that this business is sustainable and identify your key competitors. You should also consider hazmat issues for people fixing their bikes at your location, disposal of hazardous materials (e.g., motor oil), zoning restrictions, and necessary permits.
It sounds like you've identified a need in the marketplace and realize that this is an area where you can start a business. Next steps would be to meet with an attorney and an accountant about setting it up.
Good luck!
