Citizenship thru abusing relationship

Im in mental/physical abusing relationship. Finally found out i can apply for self-petetion for my green card. Im wondering how long i will required to wait before i qualify for the citizenship in case i divorced her? still have to wait only 3 years then or 5 years? ( as self-petetioner from abused relationship).
