Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Delaware

I had taken an alleged payday loan in 2010-2011. I now have a person calling me demanding money but they are not giving me the details of the loan because it is their policy and keep saying we will have you arrested and will go to jail for a long time. I thought I had the right to know my accuser, and what I am being accused of, and the date of the incident. Do I have to continue sending money until I get the information I feel that I should have?

Sounds like a scam. You can be sued if you owe money, but it's not a crime. Review this Fair Debt Collection Practices Act summary to learn your rights and what to do: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre18.shtm. Tell the person you know about the FDCPA and you will be coming after him for any violations.
