Illegal to hack into my email?

My ex is hacking into my myspace. Is it illegal for someone to retrieve my password from a password finder website without my permision and go into my private stuff?

This would give rise to several civil claims and possibly a criminal offense, if you can get the authorities to prosecute. But you have to do everything you can to limit the damage done because you somehow allowed them to get into your account.
