Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Large Credit Card Debt , 87, in Nursing Home, Cannot pay!

My mother is 87, on pension, after multiple strokes, now in nursing home on medicaid. Many credit card debts. She has lived with me for 5 years. No assets available. Do I have to file a bankruptcy or can I write letters to all the credit card companies. What can they do to her?

If you did not sign or otherwise obligate yourself for the financial obligations incurred, then you need not pay. In such instance your mother or her estate will be the financialy obligated entity.
