Monies paid to collection agencies

Can a collection agency for a hospital change amount of money being paid monthly to them?

Not if you had an agreement otherwise. Did you? Was it in writing? If it was not, then you have a "swearing contest".

All communications with collection agencies should be done only in writing. Sent them a letter by certified return receipt demanding they communicate only in writing.

You should schedule a formal consultation with a� lawyer.� A good means of obtaining an attorney referral is by contacting your State's bar association or your local county bar association.��� They probably have a web site and charge a nominal fee for the referral.� Most attorneys either provide a free initial consultation, or charge a nominal fee.
