Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My step son is coming home out of prison for being involved in a robbery with a firearm. Knowing he can not own or have in his possession a handgun. What about me owning a handgun in my home while he is staying with us. Can I keep it out of sight or does it have to be out of the house while he is staying with us. I need clarity on the laws concerning this.

You need to make absolutely sure he has no access to it. Just hiding it may be enough, but it should be locked in a place where he has no access.
