Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I was stopped by police last night while driving. I was never given a reason for the stop and immediately asked to step out of the vehicle, at which point I felt detained and under police custody. I was asked several times If I had marijuana, that the office could smell it. I denied serveral times until he said “if I search you car, which I will be doing, and I find any, it will be a lot worse for you” so I admitted to having 1 gram and 2 pipes. I was put into the back of the police car while he searched my vehicle, which I never gave permission for him to do. Is this illegal search and seizure? Is this something I can fight in court?

Sorry to answer like a lawyer, but the answer is that it MIGHT be legal. You really need to sit down with an attorney and discuss specifics. Your admission doesn't help but there may still be a defense. Discuss this with an attorney IN PERSON to see the best option.
