Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Florida

Copyright Law and Broadcasting Online

I happen to own a website that links users to live streams of sports broadcasts via p2p programs (tvu, sopcast, ppmate, tvant and others). If you aren't familiar with these programs, they are basically a large network of users that stream tv shows from home to the internet via these programs. What my site does is open up a particular channel of one fo these programs that is broadcasting a sporting event. Clearly some of the channels my site links users to violate copyright laws. However is providing links to these channels a violation? I was almost certain it was not, but after receiveing letters from major corporations, such as MLB, I sometimes second guess myself. Part of me thinks they are just scare tactics, but a small part of me also wants to look into it a little further. I have tried consulting attornies but the topic at hand is so specific it's difficult to get the answers I'm looking for. If you could shed some light on the matter, I'd greatly appreciate it. My website is dewsaw dot com
