Legal Question in Family Law in Florida
I have a 13 year old daughter with spina bifida. When we divorced she was 3. It is now becoming more and more apparent that she is not going to be able to care for her own needs at 18, if ever. My medical out of pocket cost for her range between $8,000 and $12,000 a year. Can I get child support extended beyond the age of 18 and to incorporate medical cost until I no longer carry her on my private health insurance?

It could be possible
Maybe. Don't wait until she's 17 years and 11 months old to ask.
It is possible to have declared a Ward (Guardianship) or to apply for Social Security disability under a parents account. See an experienced attorney.
If the child will be an adult special needs child then yes child support will extend beyond age 18, probably for life.
