Re: emergency

The FMLA allows an employee to take leave to care for an immediate family member (spouse, parent or child)who has a serious health condition. Going to the emergency room is not required. For more information on the FMLA, go to www.dol.gov/index.htm and click on Search/A-Z index, then click on Family and Medical Leave Act
