Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

juvenille record?

When I recently applied for a job I was told that I had a spot on my record that I did not specify, I didn't know what they were talking about because the only record I have is from when I was 14. I was specifically told that my record would not affect me if I took a certain class. (My offense was petty theft.) I have been having trouble getting jobs that I'm more than qualified for, could it be because my records weren't sealed when I turned 18 like I was promised?

Re: juvenille record?

You should seek to have your record sealed and/or expunged. You need a criminal defense attorney.
