unemployment insurance in florida

if a person had to leave her job voluntarily to go to another state because she is in fear of her son's father being released from prison and stalking her and she is trying to get work in the new state but has been unsuccessful for the last 3 weeks-Is she eligible for unemploment benefits from the state that she was employed in? she came from NY and moved to Florida.

This would really be a question of New York law, but typically unemployment insurance only applies when the employer fires you. It does not apply when you leave employment voluntarily, even though there may have been very compelling reasons to do so.
