Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I won my small claims, filed everything, have a lien on property.. now what?

I've been waiting to receive any payments from the LL that owed my security deposit. My question.... Since I've won my case, I've filed with the state of Florida and I believe I have all my documents in place for the lein... however, this property he owns is in Florida...his residence is in California and does quite well in the chiropractic business. Is is possible to put a lein on his business in california, property, etc. so I can get paid from this jerk? PLEASE HELP... thanks.

Yes, You will need a California attorney to do it.

If he has property in Florida, just record the lien in the county in which he has property. That will create a lien on the property. You can then foreclose the lien. No need to go to California.

You can register the judgment in California and execute out there as well, but it is probably easier and less expensive to do so here in Florida where you and the defendant's property are both located.
