Hurricane assesment fees

Can your condo association forclose on your property because you can't pay your hurricane assesment fee of $1,200.00 by the due date?

Yes, if there is a properly assessed and recorded lien. The action must be commenced within one year of recordation.

Yes, but first a claim of lien must be recorded, and then within one year from the filing of that claim of lien, a foreclosure action must be filed and served on you. Not being able to afford the payment is not a viable legal defense.
