Every state, including New York, has a process by which a creditor that obtains a judgment in another state can "domesticate" the judgment in a different state where property is located, and then seize that property. New York may exempt certain items from collection, though. You would have to consult with an attorney in New York to be fully advised as to what is exempt. You will know right away if they try to "domesticate" the judgment in New York, because the court will send you a notice in the mail.
